If you're a registered voter and have a drivers license, you have already done everything you can. Jury pools are picked by random computer draws, and you are in the system to pick from.
I agree. It is an experience that is very interesting. I served jury terms twice. And got picked for 3 juries during that time. 2 actual trials, the 3rd case got settled just before it was supposed to start.

How do you get picked for jury duty????
I have done everything to get picked for jury duty and haven't got picked or summonsed once. Some people might like that idea however I would like to do it once. Any suggestions? Oh by the way I am a registered voter and have a drivers licence and I am 29.

From State Of Connecticut Judicial website
Your name was chosen at random from lists obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Revenue Services, Department of Labor and the Registrars of Voters for the state’s 169 towns.
Names are randomly chosen every year. Every year your name has an equal chance of being selected and you could receive a jury summons every year. Only persons aged 70 or older who choose not to serve and disabled individuals who have provided a letter from a licensed physician indicating that they are permanently unable to serve jury duty may be permanently disqualified. There are no other permanent records of disqualification or hardship excuses granted, so you must ask to be disqualified each time you receive a summons.
You didn't mention what state your from but, this should be regular procedure.
Hope this helps ya .

It's a funny process, I'm 55 and only got called once, but was not picked for any jury. My mother was picked for 3 juries in 5 years! You just never know how it's going to go.

Just like they say computer random draw.
My wife and I average at least every 3-4 years, where friends and relatives have never ever been. Were getting annoyed because were up in age now and its harder for us. My wife wanted me to drive her this time. Which is downtown where we never go. So I did and there is no place for you to wait except on a hard bench outside of one of the court rooms , god forbid if I sit in the comfortable jury selection room with all the empty seats.
Not complaining just saying.
I go one month from her jury duty.

In Texas criminal and civil courts, potential jurors are randomly selected from registered voters by computer. A person can be called for jury duty only in the county of residence. I live in Houston (Harris County) so I can't be called for jury duty in Dallas (Tarrant County).
Federal courts also draw their jury pools from registered voters.
I have not heard of someone volunteering for jury duty. Call your local county clerk's office (they are the ones that maintain the list of registered voters) and ask.
