I doubt he's a jerk, but he sure is cocky-reminds me alot of Stewart and Robby Gordon in the past several years. Give him a season where he doesn't make the Chase and you'll see him either calm down or (hopefully not) get worse. Watch him run in Busch or Cup and you'll realize that he's not a patient driver. Jarrett's a master at short track racing and it wasn't right to not give him room to run. Had it been Mark Martin in the 44 car you know Kenseth would have backed off big time.

They are all jerks, 43 ego maniacs with 3500 lb cars trying to push each other out of the way. Dale Sr. started this whole "bump and Run" mentallity. Who can forget him wrecking Terry Labonte to win or Jeff Gordon wrecking Dale Sr for the win at Daytona, and by the way Dale Sr. called Jeff Gordon a gutless coward who has no business racing at the cup level after that race. Gordon again wrecking Jeff Burton to win the Winston Million but Jeff gets upset when Matt bumps him to move to 2nd, we have all seen Jeff jumping over the car to push Kenseth(like a coward still wearing his helmet!). They have all wrecked someone along the way to better their finish whether on purpose or miss calculation so don't be so quick to call label someone a jerk. When there is money/points on the line they would all wreck their grandmothers to get 1 more!

Thats just typical short track racing, you saw that happen exactly to other drivers example Kenny Schrader got ran all over the place during the race. History has shown he is one of the cleanest racers out there, but in his career he has been criticized for not being aggressive enough, well now he has become much more aggressive and that is where he has been involved in wrecking. I dont think it was intentional just trying to move up for position, and keep in mind thats Bristol.
He had a decent car and got to the front, but suffered from a collapsed spring towards the end of the race. And lets face it Dale Jarrett isn't exactly cream of the crop competition any more and Kenseth and Harvick were coming up through the field with the leaders (Tony Stewart) right behind them. So they were in a rush to stay ahead and thats just racing.

Absolutely not!Matt didnt do anything wrong to dale jarrett at all.At Bristol, thats what everyone does...get used to it.I dont see anyone on here saying how Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart are jerks for wrecking ppl and they do it all the time.Thats what short track racing is all about.Matty had a fast car and he caught up to Jarrett and Jarrett was just too slow so he had to shove him outta the way.I would have done the same thing.Yall are just jealous because Matty is a winner and old Dale Jarrett isnt.Stop whining about it and shut up.Its over, its done...now go on with your lives....ok???

Who's to say it was Kenseth's fault. As soon as it happened my friend pointed out that Kenseth established the inside lane and Jarrett came down into him. Kenseth had no where to go. Not too mention if Jarrett's car was just as good, Kenseth wouldn't have caught into him. It comes down to rubbings racing and Kenseth had the better car and was the better driver, and Jarrett should have let him pass.

jarretts best days are behind him and kenseths best days are still to come.............jarrett was more than likely about 3-4 laps down by lap 43,i'd say he was in the way and has no business trying to race one of the best on the track.
just my opinion

i don't think Matt purposely went into the race saying I wanna wreck Dale Jarret. It was just an accident and if you know anything about NASCAR then you know that drivers can't control most of what happens when they wreck because it all happens too fast...i'm not a big fan of matt Kenseth but I still don't think he did it on purpose

The mentality was get to the front. The race is not won in the first 100 miles but some thought you have to get to the front fast to avoid wrecks.Well doing that causes wrecks.
Jarrett qualified this week and did not use the championship provisional but for this weeks race he is out of the top 35 and has to qualify.
Patience is the first part of victory on short tracks.
That's all I have to say about that.

Matt Kenseth isn't a jerk. I've known him since he raced locally. Yes, he can get caught up in his emotions. All the years I've known him he does apologize for his mistakes. He's not like Jr. and screws his career because he thinks he's a good driver. So please don't make any generalizations of people you don't know. I grew up around racing and still go to the local tracks and sometimes attend NASCAR races. Most of the drivers are really great guys who are just doing what they enjoy doing. I am frankly sick of how many people on here treat the drivers when they don't know them personally.
