Why don't cats have hair on the ends of their "heel"?

I've noticed on most cats, there is a tiny bald spot on their heels on their hind feet. Does it serve a purpose or is it just one of those unknown strange facts about cats?

probably a balance point of landing or cats are spy's and they like fart in Ur face well mine does - probably cause they walk on it or land or climb and use that spot or maybe just how they move idk
