1. Apparently many people don't believe that the events of that day were the result of a conspiracy.

2. Apparently many people believe that there is no evidence of any conspiracy.

3. Apparently many people believe that the official story only contains the 'facts'.

It would appear that unprecedented propaganda campaign has worked beyond all expectation.

1. The buildings were supposed to have come down due to the fires caused by jet fuel from the planes.
2.The second plane hit the south tower obliquely and almost the entire fuel load exploded in a fireball outside the building.
3. Yet this tower, which was hit many minutes after the north tower, came down many minutes before the north tower.
4. Neither building showed evidence of extreme heat.
5. Jet fuel burns at 1,800 degs F, the special steel used in the structural beams and columns would not start to soften until over 2,500 degs F.
6. The nature of the falling of both towers, direct, vertical, and at free-fall speed, forbids the possibility of the floors collapsing one onto another, what we saw was the world's most professional demolition job.
7. The fire chiefs inside the buildings reported hearing explosions just before the collapse, those reports were suppressed, but a few are on tape record.
8. The upstate New York seismic sensors recorded 2.1 and 2.3 Richter scale events just before the collapse of each tower. The 1983 bombing, which had been a massive explosion, produced no such seismic event.
9. And finally, building No. 7 also collapsed, even though no aircraft hit it, and the fires that were seen were scattered and relatively minor. In a recorded interview Silverstein ( owner of the WTC ) said that they had decided to 'pull' building 7.

Pull ?????

The twin towers did not collapse due to the aircraft strikes, they were demolished. By whom, and for what reason I do not intend to speculate, but you may ask yourself why the official story is so far from any resemblance to the truth.

The Pentagon is another mendacious tale. For far to many reasons to lay out here and now, what is clear is that a wide-body airliner did not strike the Pentagon building, more likely a cruise missile or similar. There are many websites that will show endless photographs of the scene that clearly show that the official story is a a load of old codswallop. No wreckage in front of the building, not one mark on the lawn, an aircraft 77 ft high hits a building 72 ft high, yet doesn't hit either the ground in front, or send any wreckage above the building ???

Yet again, this story doesn't have a single fact to back it up. I do believe that a wide body airliner was flown over the Pentagon at roughly the time of the attack, and that many people saw this from the highways around, but curiously none of them saw it hit the building, why is that ?

The miserable performance of the stooge posing as President of the United States tells it's own story that day. Sitting in a school in Florida, looking like a cornered rat, and doing nothing. His country was under the most severe assault in it's entire history, and he was doing nothing ??!!??

Four airliners hijacked and not one interceptor scrambled, which is, by the way, official procedure in the event of one aircraft going 'missing', which means they have turned of their identification beacon, in this case four all turned off at the same time. Washington D.C., probably one of the best defended cities in the world, defenceless ??!!??

No, I don't believe the official story of 911, and I didn't from the very beginning, even while it was going on it was clear that this was a very sinister event, way beyond the capabilities of mere terrorists.~

Whatever anyone believes, there was a conspiracy, the question is by whom ?

I'm not against conspiracy theories; I'm against theories that don't have a shred of evidence. The 9/11 conspiracy theories fall into that group.

The problem is that they raise so many more questions than they answer.

A missile hit the Pentagon? OK. Well, where the hell is the plane? Where are the passengers who were supposed to be on that plane? Where are they now?

Explosives brought down the Twin Towers? OK. But how did they plant all those explosives without anyone noticing? Who planted the explosives? How did they conceal this operation without anyone finding out about it? How did they get enough explosives? Most importantly, where's the evidence of these "explosives"?

Bush and Cheney wanted 9/11 to happen so they could invade Afghanistan and Iraq? OK. But again, how did they orchestrate this without people finding out about it? How did they make sure that no one leaked important information?

You can't just dodge the above questions. This is why the conspiracy theories answer nothing; they HAVE no answer. Say all you want about how the government lies and Bush wanted it to happen and whatever, but as unsatisfying as the "official" explanation might be, it's a hell of a lot more satisfying than saying "the government did it" and leaving it at that, especially when there's not a shred of evidence to back up that claim.

jason: What does politics have to do with YA's Religion & Spirituality ? The 911 thing is history - a wake-up call for all of us in the Western world to realize, that in spite how wonderful we think we are - we have enemies in this world. Since you are in the R & S section, what exalts a nation ? Is it might dependency upon military strength, intellect and $ or is it "righteousness" ( Proverbs chapter 14, verse 24) ?

if there was a conspiracy, its goals have blown up completely. People hate neo-cons and everyone involved with Bush's circle. They will not have any power in two years. Why would they start this theoretical dictatorship if they didn't have anyone lined up after Bush? they could be hiding/lying about some minor things, in fact i'm sure they are, but it's to cover their asses, not control the country.

I believe it. I don't see how the conspiracy theories make sense. Why our own country would do something like that makes no sense to me. Then again, I'm not paranoid and I too believe Oswald acted alone and we actually did land on the moon.

I'm sure some things weren't released to the public but, there are some things the American public doesn't always need to know. All major events have conspiracy theories. There's always a group of people that want to disprove something so they feel smarter or more enlightened than everyone else. 9 times out of 10, they prove nothing but rant anyway.

I have heard no explanation that makes more sense than the original. Airport security issues had been an open secret for decades, only Israel and Switzerland had anything near the proper levels required for the real world back then...

If by official you mean the story that pretty much everyone thinks and agrees with, then hell no. I feel sorry for anyone who is gullible enough to put that much faith in the government.

"Why, of course the people don't want war... but, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament or a communist dictatorship... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger."
