Because it brings Krishna to mind, and Krishna gives you peace perhaps. Krishna's teachings are peaceful.

I don't know, but the ppl at the Hare Krishna temple are so nice.
My friends and I went though a hippie phase when I was 19, and I ate there a few times.
I love to go back, I felt fine there before, but I think I'd fill awkward now.

Yes - when you think of Krishna you are near to him and to his blessings. He will remove all your troubles and make wonders happen in your mind and heart. Mere thought of Krishna will solve all your problems and worries and do good to you. Only pure and sheer involvement is required.
I am sure you have experienced this in you and hence only you have asked this question. Hare Krishna..

Personally, I don't find it very calming at all. When I think of Hare Krishna, I think of a huge rabbit named Krishna. I wish it was deeper then that...it's not.

i dunno, the pink robes, no showers, commune setting, slippers instead of shoes, shaved heads AND brainwashing. Does life really get any better than this ?
