Are they just ignorant?

Is it smart to write unintelligably?

Why all the shortcuts that make the questions so hard to understand?

Why not hit the "Check Spelling" button?

I am a bad speller but I do a spellcheck. so that i dont look like a complete moron.

Sometimes mistakes slip through but I do try.

So did the spell check.
Are you sure that you are correct?

Didn’t mean to but I did say that I am a bad speller but I do try to spell correctly.

The English language (especially American English) has so many weird things about it and "exception to the rule" words and slang and grammatical structure.

It's not as structurally fit or rigid as some other languages. Not as complicated on one hand, but unnecessarily so in others.

I have friends who learn English as a second language and there are just too many weird things about it that they can't pick up.

They "butcher it" because they don't know how to write it the first place. Please copy and paste this.

The problem is not running a spell checker, but actually apply the changes as well. The correct spelling of "unintelligably" is "unintelligibly".

Instant messaging like B4 and that kind of writing you mean? Well, it's easier I guess, I have stopped writing like that because I saw on the news that highschool students are using that kind if writing in their work, which is defineatly over board.

Sometimes I use incorrect grammar, but i try :-)

Also, if I spell something wrong in an email or like in Yahoo answers, I might edit, but it takes too long...

Aka Laziness :D

Answer's Spell Check leaves a lot to be desired
Plough
I think part of it has to do with the language your computer is set at.
Try colour, honour for example. My spell check says they are correct, which they are.

Color, honor, show as being wrong, which you will say is correct

Because they can.

I have problems typing. On a keyboard I am almost dyslexic. Spell check is a godsend. It fails on words that are spelled right but just misused. It often refuses words that are spelled right but are not in its dictionary, and misses words that it just doesn't recognize.
I am Canadian and the differences between Canadian spelling and US spelling can be very annoying.
Plough is not accepted by American spell check, nor is anything with our instead of or as an ending, like colour or humour.
Now, if they could just create a grammar checker, us less than stellar linguists would have it made.

For a simple, step-by-step program that can help your child learn to read visit this site: http://readingprogram.toptips.org

Learning to read at a young age is important for the development of the child. It helps them develop a better understand of their surroundings, allows them to gather information from printed materials, and provides them with a wonderful source of entertainment when they read stories and rhymes. Children develop at different rates, and some children will develop reading skills quicker than other children; however, what's important is that as the parent, you are keenly aware of your child's maturity and reading level to provide them with appropriate books and activities to help them improve.

You spelled "don't" and even "spell check" wrong, and the period after spellcheck should be a comma.
