i`m female 39 years old.It`s probably an autoimune disease.I don`t have eyelashes or eyebrow.My parents&grandparents are healthy.

I don't know the clinical answer to this question. I just wanted to share with you that my sister in law has the some conditon, she had no hair anywhere on her body. She as tried everything the doctors have recommended, still no hair. She has accepted it and lives with it the best she can. Best of luck to you. I forgot to mention no one else in the family is afftected by this condition.

What caused this? Does it run in your family? Your hair may be gone forever, but right now, it is very fashionable for men to have smooth heads. Are your eyebrows still intact? they can be quite expressive with a nice smile and a good cheerful personality. You didn't give any age, but many people loss their hair as they get older, so think of the savings in haircut costs. Best wishes
