I am a 26 yrs old female. From the age of approx. 4 to age 10 approx. I engaged in various sexual acts with boys my age and older. This did include some intercourse that I viividly remember. Since that time I have never had sex, but I was just wondering does what happened mean I am not a virgin or ??? I have no idea what to think. Also is this type of sexual activity or "play" normal among that age group? I am really sorry if I sound dense or dumb but this is a serious question.

Technically, medically, no, you are not a virgin any longer if vaginal intercourse took place. However, the age when it occurred and whether or not it was consensual is also important. Some amount of sex play between children is normal, however, this does not typically include full intercourse especially at such a young child. Were the boys much older than you or around the same age? If they were older than you, then you were technically abused even if you consented to it or enjoyed it. Young children 4-10 typically engage in games like "doctor" or "I'll show you mine and you show me yours" because children are naturally very curious about their bodies and other people's bodies. Touching and some rubbing is also normal but again intercourse is not typical of young adolescent sex play.

Since it happened at such a young age, I would say that you have reclaimed a secondary virginity. Also, it does seem as though you were taken advantage of by the older boys and should have told someone about it. Not having had sex again, I would also suggest finding someone to talk to about the experiences, someone professional. You may be in need of counseling.

Also, have you been tested or had a well woman exam? You might want to consider doing that as well.
Best of luck.
Peace.

Physically you are not a "virgin" you more than likely lost your hymen a very long time ago however you are emotionally/mentally still a virgin since you couldn't have had any idea just what it was you were doing back then...and no it is not "normal" play activity although small children will play "I'll show you mine if you show me your's" sort of discovering the differences betwee boys and girls but sexual activity/intercourse is NOT normal at those ages.

I would differ in everyone else's opinion and say you probably are still a virgin. I doubt that at the age of 4 another child would even be capable of knowing what they were doing and you would've ran screaming to your mum, or who ever did the bad job of being your protector, if you were ever in a pain in that area. You probably wouldve got an infection to. So I would say you are a virgin but if it worries you a doctor can give you the answer you seek.

No you are no longer a virgin. And yes so play like this happens at this age, but you said there were older boys also ,so no the older boys knew it was wrong and to me that was considered rape.

You are not a virgin.. A true virgin has a membrane that is just over the cervix that one time. Any type of penitration to that membrane is well you know....Normal-- define normal. I believe it is normal. And by the way you are not dense or dumb. It's too bad you couldn't ask you mom these questions.

Sorry but you are not a virgin. Virginity is a physical thing not a mental thing and if you were penetrated at any point then you are no longer a virgin

from the sound of it your not a virgin but to be sure go to the doctor and get a pap smear. that way you will know for sure. and no that kind of play isn't normal. but its not your fault. where were your parents. you cant be held responsible for activities that had occurred before you were old enough to know better.

If you have had intercourse your not a virgin.I'm not sure if this type of activity would be normal for 4-10 yr old.Seems awful young. That's just my opinion.

Physically, no, you're not a virgin. Somebody who has had consentual sexual intercourse is not a virgin, regardless of intent or age. However, if you're a virgin in your heart, then you're still a virgin.
