While an "open relationship" may sound interesting, there's always the problem of sexually transmitted diseases. When you sleep with someone, you are sleeping with everyone they have ever slept with. If you're going into a committed relationship, some stds don't matter. But if you are both "clean" when you begin an "open" relationship, what guarantee do you have your partner won't pick up something that will really be a problem? This is not a question of morality, it's a practical question. Even if you want to visit a doctor every month or so, just to check if you've picked up anything from your "open" friend, some things are pretty tough, like AIDS. In my opinion, an "open relationship" is an invitation to disaster. But that's only my opinion. Some people like to live on the edge.

there are several answers to this:
guys like to have a monogamous relationship AND to have an open relationship at the same time!
we want to come home to the regular and stable girlfriend (because she is most likely sane) and then have girls on the side for really dirty sex.
the stable girl would never go for all the sick sh!t that the guy would want...that's what side nookie is for. side nookie know they are side nookie...they also love all the sick sh!t that the guy wants also.
so to answer your question: YES!
