No, I don't think thats true at all.
I know alot of guys who have been head over heels with girls with low self esteem BECAUSE they were so modest they didn't even realize how great they were!

I think you have to love yourself in order to truly love someone. Not the other way around. There are plenty of people in this world who are screwed up and hate themselves... that doesn't mean people just stop loving them. And let me correct my initial remark. You can stop loving yourself and still love others. You just won't have the capacity to treat them as though you do!

I do because if you dont love yourself that usually means you have issues about your body and have low self-esteem. In relationships low self-esteem can cause you to worry if you man loves you enough, if he's looking at other women, and if he's cheating. It can also make you not want to have sex with the guy because you dont want to show your body because you dont feel good about it. This can cause intimaticy problems and he might look for that somewhere else as in cheating on you.

yes you do. If you don't love yourself you are probably unhappy and no relationship is going to fulfill you. No one can make you happy unless you are happy with yourself. Sure, someone can love you anyway but it's not going to do you a whole lot of good.

No, I know for a fact that you don't have to love yourself in order to be loved.
But to be worthy of being loved, and to make that love last - ah! Yes!

Deep down we all love ourselves. Our different personalities percieve different things at different times. Thats how chemistry works. You must first experience love in order to share love. Love comes in so many ways, and sometimes we are too blind to see it.

of course you should love yourself first. do you think that people who dislike them selves have healthy relationships........ as if.... think about it. a person who does not love themselves will always be angry and bitter at the world always wanting to blame others for their issues.... but if you know how to love and respect yourself then the world is your oyster.

How will you expect others to like you if you don't like yourself. How will you be capable of giving love if you don't have it within you. Love begets love.
