I have a cousin whom lives with myself and few other members of my family. Her and myself are very close, almost as if I was her adopted brother or as if she was my daughter. I'm the one whom she comes to when she is sad ect ect.

She is young and has recently hit puberty. She also recently has 'discovered' herself sexually (as she had not learned the laws of locking a door).

This morning she divulged to me that she had a somewhat erotic dream with myself and her. She was confused by it but not upset. She came to me wondering if this was normal or not. I answered to my best knowledge.

I personally am not sure what to think nor say about it and it's a subject I don't feel would be openly great discussion subject with the rest of the family.

PLEASE no perverted remarks.

I've had sexual dreams with my family too. so i did some research and got to know that actually when we have sexual dreams with a family member it means that we need to get closer to this particular member in real life. this dreams occured when we have been neglecting or have not been close to that particular member. its our subconsious mind's way of telling / reminding us of him / her.

sexual encounters in dreams do not reflect actual sexual desires. when i get that kind of dreams i will call / catch up with that particular family member and suprisingly will always find that they actually need some help with something in their life...

So no worries... maybe now you need to get closer to your cousin brotherly in real life.

Zia Lucia has shared some actual information, yet i want to function slightly right here with reference to the daddy/intercourse circumstances, which she did not handle. Now, if your father has ever certainly accosted you sexually in any way, dismiss this. yet whilst he has not, this dream would desire to be approximately your want to have a closer emotional dating or extra advantageous verbal substitute with your father. Or, it would desire to signify he needs to be closer to you, yet because of the cases you have been sexually abused, you're resisting getting closer to him because of the fact he's a male and you do not have faith men to not harm you. this could be a tragic loss for the two certainly one of you and family contributors counseling could be a stable concept, so as which you and your loved ones won't have a broken dating because of the violence you have suffered from exterior impacts. it may be so unhappy so you might not have the skill to get carry of the help your loved ones needs to grant because of the fact of somebody else's evil intentions. I pray you get carry of the therapeutic your want!

Hopefully this is just a one time experience for her. If it continues and she comes to you, you really need to talk to her and let her know that nothing is going to happen between the two of you. She is young and since you are the one she always comes to, that is probably the reason she would have a dream like that, but like I said if it continues, please make her understand that nothing is going to happen. I know this must be very awkward and I wish you the best of luck.

I am 31 years old and have NEVER had a sexual dream about my family. I dont think most people could say that anyway. Though I do think she attaching herself to you in ways similar to a boyfriend. You need to set her straight---tell her that you see her as a little sister or daughter.

PEOPLE HAVE SEXUAL DREAMS ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE ALL THE TIME. IT DOESNT MEAN YOU WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH THAT PERSON. I HAD A SEXUAL DREAM ABOUT MY BROTHER......IT MAKES ME SICK JUST WRITING ABOUT IT. I HAD A SEXUAL DREAM ABOUT MY FRIEND WHO HAPPENED TO BE A GIRL.....I AM NOT GAY AND I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH HER.ONE OF MY FRIENDS TOLD ME SE HAD A SEX DREAM ABOUT HER FATHER. THE POINT IS DREAMS ARE WEIRD. SOMETIMES A DREAM IS JUST A DREAM. IT IS A LITTLE WEIRD THAT SHE TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS DREAM. I DID NOT TELL MY BROTHER ABOUT THE SEXUAL DREAM I HAD ABOUT HIM AND OMG I DO NOT PLAN TOO. THE FACT THAT SHE TOLD YOU MAKES ME BELIEVE SHE WANTED SOME KIND OF RESPONDS FROM YOU. I COULD BE WRONG. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
