I'm 14 years old, and as i washed my face I noticed a bump, on my throat under my chin. It isn't a pimple or zit, and it isn't a bug bite. There isn't any redness, but I can feel it, and put my fingers around it below the skin and stuff, my friend i think, had a bump in his throat and his doctor recommended he drank alot of citrus acids, so I'm hoping it is just that and not some cancer. Please anyone help.

Now Ryan, in all honesty...we have no idea, only guesses.

And what are the odds that your friend had one just like yours?
(I like Darlene's suggestion below that maybe it's your Adam's Apple)

Anyway, if you're very concerned, and perhaps you should be because a lump can indicate a cancerous growth, tell your parents right away (believe me, they want to know) and let them check it out and possibly take you for a doctor to examine it.

Ok, that being said...I found this:

"There are many causes of lumps in the neck. The most frequently seen lumps or swellings are enlarged lymph nodes, which can be caused by bacterial or viral infections, malignancy, and other rare causes.
The thyroid gland may also produce a lump, multiple lumps, or swelling in the neck as a result of thyroid disease or malignancy."

Read this and maybe show it to your parents:
