Any Canadian stamps will work, as long as you put enough on the envelope to equal the required amount for your letter:
Up to 30g = $0.93
30g to 50g = $1.05

Yes you do need special stamps. Go to any Canada Post and they will sell you the stamps you need. Unless they have gone up since November, they were .92 including GST.
I don't remember at what weight it is more but again Canada Post can advise you on this.
