Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

Yes, especially if it glorified God. From a Jewish standpoint, your body is something to be revered, and to selfmutilate is considered to be the equivalent of a sin. Adding the God thing just kind of pours salt on the wound.

I think i hear a blatant contradiction in your question.
You should know that one cannot glorify G-d by breaking His commandments. His commandments are there to tell you what glorifies Him!
Such a situation cannot exist as is a contradiction of terms.

I am almost certain that Jewish law only prohibits a tattoo in memory of the dead. So if your tattoo said "R.I.P. ____" that would violate it. I'm pretty sure everything else is fine though.

if you are jewish, then you believe G-d said not to get a tattoo. so its kind of an oxymoron to "glorify G-d" by doing something he clearly stated that he dislikes.

Don't forget that one of the reasons God told Jews not to get tattoos is because the heathen that surrounded them got tattoos as a way of paying homage to their gods. Don't worship false gods.

You don't need a tattoo to glorify God. You need a heart that serves Him.

Yes. In Judiasm, your body belongs to god and is not your own. You may not desecrate it. (if you are observant)
