I just prayed for a 2nd motorcycle. But my garage still only contains one. WTF?

Doesn't prayer work?

Do I need to go buy a 2nd motorcycle FTW? What is the point in prayer if so?

Have you watched Pursuit of Happyness? I was thinking of the joke the kid tells. The man in the river drowning prays Please God save me. A bull comes along and says grab on, I'll pull you out. The man says No thanks God will save me. The man prays, Oh God Please God Please save me. Another bull comes along and says grab on, I'll pull you out. The man again says No thanks God will save me. The man drowns and stands in front of St Peter and says Why didn't God save me? St Peter says, I sent you two bulls!

So for the answer--perhaps God put the money in your bank account. Or perhaps God will put a big sale on motorcycles. (If he does, write me) Or perhaps you will find one in a junkyard that only has a broken handlebar or needs a new seat.

Oh yeah--here come the fundies...oh oh...

"sometimes god says wait--he never promised a bike by tomorrow. perhaps you'll have one next year"

"sometimes god says no b/c its in gods plan and if he'd given you that second bike something bad would have happened and so the answers no and you should thank god for Unanswered Prayers."
