No perscription drug will stop the wanting for a drink, though food ales the need. I was just talking about this today, and I believe it is not so much the amount you drink, but the way you drink. If it brings on guilt because of it, then that is because you have become unaware of why you are drinking in the first place. Realise when you started and the reason why you started to drink, and think about better ways to enjoy that. A glass durning a meal is meant to be good for your heart and it is something that strengthens your spirit, but you must have a food to digest it. also if you are constant drukard, then you have forgotton your will to stay sober in the drinking!!!

There is a widely known pill called "antabuse" that makes you sick when you drink but does nothing for the craving to drink.
there is a less widely know pill already used to treat epilepsy called "Topamax" that has been shown in clinical studies to reduce the craving to drink.
