Usually the genetically rich such as those with good health, good intelligence, athletic and artistic qualities, beauty and good conduct are often finacially also rich. On the other hand those who are deprived of these qualities (except love and kindness) are often sick, criminals and found at the bottom layer the society.

Good argument. I think one of the biggest frauds pulled over on people is the myth about all people being created equal. Some people are better than others. Einstein was better than Sam the mechanic (this in no way says that Sam is no good and should be shot) although both contribute Einstein's contribution was by far the more important.

I was born into a poor family. Father died when I was 5 leaving mom with 5 kids to raise. And she did a fairly decent job. We lived in a terrible house. I didn't know what a store was, cause we stayed at home. We lived rural, so that was probably a good place. We canned all summer just to get through the winters. We all worked in the fields. We were not on assistance. We did not have much, but most times we were well fed. We picked potatoes after they'd been harvested. We did what we had to do to survive.

Mom made our clothes out of other peoples clothes. My sister had beautiful skirts made out of suit material from men's suits. We cut buttons off items that were to be thrown away.

We all learned that to save and work was a good thing.

I am not rich, well to some I am, but I do live very comfortable. I've invested wisely, saved for my own retirement. And ready to enjoy the rest of my life in a very comfortable fashion.

I think this is something everyone can achieve if they are willing to start small and aim big. My husband and I scraped hard when we were young. I wore three dollar tops and four dollar pants. Our children are on the right track too. They will be considered rich.

I'm rich by the family I have.

You are what you make yourself. You have to fight to be what you want to be. You have to want it more than anything else and be willing to sacfifice.

I think being raised poor gave me an appreciation for even the smallest items.

Since everyone else wanted to be an a hole about you question, to bridge the gap, we need more character traits that the poor and the rich share, besides, most of the time, being straight up greedy. Have you ever noticed who donates the most % wise, to the homeless and less fortunate? What about how happy a poor man can get when he wins a 50 dollar lottery? Its not about money, its about happiness, and giving. But the real answer to your question is EDUCATION. All the rich can do is pay to know how to be healthy, how to be smart, how to better themselves because thats what it cost to stay wealthy.

oh, I don't know; eugenics is one possible solution; just like cutting off your arm to cure a hangnail. I also think that the sooner people who really believe in it start practicing on themselves, the sooner it will make a difference.

not all "genetically poor" people are physically deficient. some of them obviously don't have 2 brain cells to rub together.

it doesn't matter if financially rich people are genetically rich or poor. what matters is 2 things:

1. if there is to be an attempt at genetic equality, the financially rich are going to have to pay for it (see Michael Jackson, or any failed breast implant surgery for attempts by the wealthy to improve one's apparent genetic makeup. you still think *real genetic changes will fare any better?).

2. genetic wealth in this globally warming environment may be poverty in what's ahead. any eugenics program is a sure-fire way to eliminate our species through a lack of genetic diversity.

The only way is gentlemans eugenics. The detaials are:

1. Eugenics bridges the genetic gap in certain superior traits existing between the elite and the average. It compensates the selective migration of superior genetic stock from the poor to the professional, from the rural to the urban areas and from the underdeveloped to the developed nations.
2. Biological socialism leads to economic socialism. All attempts made so far to achieve economic socialism by imposing Marxism/communism have not achieved the desired goal. Capitalist countries witnessed considerable economic progress but failed miserably in equitable distribution of wealth. Biological socialism is the only hope to bridge the gap in wealth between the rich and the poor in a democratic way.
3. Eugenics helps increase the number of good minds and to reduce crime, corruption, cruelty etc. Attempts to transform society through moral preaching have not yielded any lasting results. Genetic transformation of the society will assure lasting peace and harmony. Repeated studies of twins have proved again and again the genetic basis of intelligence and behavior.
4. Racial mingling through neogenics will put an end to violence created on racial grounds.
5. By reducing the incidence of genetically transferable diseases (most diseases have a genetic base), great improvement in health can be achieved and thereby considerable reduction in medical expenditure.
6. Increasing the intelligence and EQ of the common man according to the needs of a civilized and technologically advanced society. The benefits of ascending EQ & IQ in a population are rather beyond our imagination.
8. Eugenics is the only method now available to correct genetic disorders in order to protect the right of the unborn. A child has a legal right to begin life with a sound mind and a sound body.
All these will reduce human suffering and place the human race on an evolutionary track as nature has been doing for the last several millions of years. It may be noted that we are the only species capable of directing our evolution in a manner that suits our wisdom leading to the betterment of our less fortunate fellow citizens and the species as a whole.
HOW TO ACHIEVE BY SIMPLE MEANS ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS GIVING FULL RESPECT TO FREE WILL?
1. Encourage the production of more children among the healthy and the gifted couples.
2. Discourage the reproduction of the habitual criminals, mentally challenged and the sick.
3. Start sperm/egg banks of selected donors of better EQ and IQ for the benefit of the infertile couples (10 to 12 per cent of the population) and for those daring couples who want to bring about improvement of the genetic stock of their future generations.
4. Popularize genetic screening and genetic counseling to prevent genetically transmitted diseases
All the above steps may be needed till the advancement of genetic engineering reaches a level that enables genetic transformation of a society or individual through gene therapy, cloning or other means yet to be discovered or envisaged.
