Rather than discuss a subject for debate, why not discuss something relevant for today? Something that all present could benefit from. Say, perhaps, starting a series of how to deal with problems according to Scripture. Things like fear, worry, stress, anger, etc. Take time to research the subject beforehand, and then come together for discussion. Close with a word of prayer.
