I thought mine could but i guess it cant. I need it as cheap as possible.

I got mine at best buy for $50 (Sale Price), or you can try ebay...

you can get the 16X dvd burners pretty cheap on ebay. the ones smaller are just as good. i still use the 4X. there is no need to burn a disk too fast. you can get errors and a waisted disk if it burns too fast. a dvd isn't the same as burning a cd. there is more to the burning.

I'd recommend purchasing one through newegg.com There are many to choose from, and if you click on the link below you'll see a lot of choices. They're low in price for a good drive. Hope this helps.

yea newegg.com. I am in the same boat you are as to finding a dvd burner and newegg is prob the place I am going to end up purchasing it at.

you need a DVD RW drive - all branded types are expensive try Asus look in china town or japanese /asian computer shops there are alot of other brands out there the question is if one is near you.
