A friend of mine keeps telling me the reason I have such difficulty with getting a date is because I don't have enough self confidence. Yet I am convinced it's because I'm not the best looking guy...just "average" I suppose. Just trying to get a female's perspective...

confidence or believ in yourself' or set your mind too it '..
all of theses things will help produce better results than the results you get without them
Dont trust the cliche' "you can do anything you set your mind too ",,
If you set your mind to resisting gravity pull, it still wont happen.....if you set your mind to jumping off the empire state building and landing safe on your feet...it wont happen.
many ppl set their mind to- winning the lottery/ but it never happens..
setting your mind too something - will simply give you a better feeling about the outcome...or produce a better result.
A 99 yr old cripple man with one arm can set his mind to becoming heavyweight boxing champion of the world...but it will never happen.

yeh, i guess confidence does play a part but not all of if. unfortunately looks do matter and that's the first thing that everyone notices about each other.. but when you do talk to her and you do get to know her then looks aren't really important anymore. do you know what i mean? when you don't know someone, all you can do is judge them by their appearance but once you become friends or whatever, appearance doesn't matter. just show her you're a really genuine guy and make her laugh etc. making her laugh alot is very important =] i absoltely love funny guys. just be yourself most of all, don't worry about trying to be someone that you think she'll like because when/if she does realize that person wasn't "you".. yeah you get the drift.. all the best =]

Fact: On Average, women are 10 times (if not more) observant than men. They will read your every gesture, grooming, etc. and evaluate them accordingly. Think about it - if you get a haircut, shave, eyebrows, eye color, etc. who are the first to notice? Girls of course.
So yes, confidence is a huge role. Not only that, but it will also help you in future scenarios I'm sure. Build some conviction and you'll be fine!

confidence is important when trying to get a girl to like you.. anyways you said that you're looks are only average. girls don't only think about a guys looks they also think about the guys personality.. so to feel more confident try improving the way you look so that you will gain more confidence.. well i gave you more information than you wanted to know but anyways i hope i helped..

Its not always self confidence. u just need to be urself. i know uve probably heard that a lot but its the God honest truth.Dont evr try to attract sumone by acting like sumone ur not.Looks are not everything either,it all comes down to the way u carry urself...ur personality ,character and ur sense of humor are always good to put into action.Bottom line is just be urself,shell come @ the secret is not to get desperate,just relax.

personally I think that looks don't matter as much as personality and personality is what I first notice. My two favorite things about personality is self confidence and sense of humor. So yeahh confidence is pretty important in my point of view. But like not too confident like cocky.

Confisdence is extremly important. Dont be afraid to confront her and tell her. She doesent have a reason to say no to you. Besides man love isnt about being "popular" or good looking. Some people may just look for that but its not true love so dont be afraid so confront them. Best of luck to you =D

its kind of important because what you think about yourself is what other people are likly to think of you but really even if your not to confident i doesnt matter the only real thing you need confidence for is acctually asking a girl out and if you dont do this it wont matter if you have confidence or not

Girls will like the average guy if he is able to have confidence in himself and make her laugh......looks arent everything its more important to have someone to relate to

confidence is a huge thing right up there with honesty if you're not confident then girls think you're not worth it and that they should look for someone different so definatly get going on the confidence
