First of all, religion is not answered through logic. So if you are trying to prove your religion, logic's not a way to do so. I believe God laughs at logic. There is so much mystery that is involved in basically every dealing of our lives and in everything that was revealed that we honestly cannot make a true fact on what has happened, is happening, or will happen.

Religion's proved by just knowing, really. There is a point where you will just know - perhaps through another, the Eucharist, just church ing eneral.. anything. But as far as explaination goes, we humans cannot do that.

That ebign said, I beleive we are *** destined to be born again, into what religion we find right. Truly, so many religions are of the same mindset. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Taoism all believe there is one mysterious God (Hinduism: Bramahan, Taoism: The actual "figure" of the Tao). If we are "born again", we can see God there in our soul and in our beliefs. We are called to accept the responsibility of learning about our faith so we can make a conscious decision to accept it. I also believe that that includes learning of other's faiths with a mature attitude to see other views.

As Catholics, we believe that God works through man through the Church. Whether you believe that or not and decide to follow the Church or not depends on your own decision, but do not decide through logic.

I was baptized into Lutheran faith and confirmed at age 15.

I walked away from my childhood faith. I was never church goer and my parents were not religious or spiritual. They believe in God though.

I found my way back. I joined into a non-denominational Christian church where the Bible is the center of the teaching and they lead people to a life changing connection of Jesus Christ. I got baptized again and I attend the worship regularly and I also study Bible.

Doubt is the part of faith, and questioning is OK when seeking the truth. I want to be on the side of the truth. I follow Jesus, not any religion. I am happy to be called Christian though, although I would not join to Catholic church ever. : )

I was born into Catholicism. Left it at 17. Walked around angry and resentful for about 25 years - and then I found a Religious Science church - and I pretty much agree with all of their teachings. I think of myself as more "Spiritual" than religious. Most people I know are still practicing the religions their parents raised them to believe. I find that odd.

both . now i don't go to the united church of Canada anymore even though my dad was a minister in that church as was my grandfather and brother . i don't agree with having gays lead people . nor do i agree with clergymen forming a union which is what they are attempting to do.
i looked up each denomination on the net at least the ones in Canada and found Christan reformed sounded right for me . so i phoned no answer left message with minister asking times and if all were welcome and what the men wore to church like all in great suits or what . the man never called me back . i know from a life time of being in a church family a minister is not over run with phone calls or work often so he could have phoned me back .
so now i think it may be the roman catholics but who knows i am so sad maybe i will never set foot in a church again . i don't know i do know i have faith in god that sure is there not doing much good it seems but its there.

Born as Roman Catholic - but I have to find my own path - I don't agree with many beliefs of the Roman Catholics - so I move on. I do feel more comfortable with paganism, and I like to learn, am always open to all religions. Taoism is also very interesting and just recently started looking into Jainism.
I am glad to see people like you question all things - it is a personal path and no one but you can travel.
Peace to you and blessings to your family.

I wasn't raised a christian, but I spent most of my teenage years looking for a "higher power." I dabbled in many religions and I always came back to the same one. After I got married, my husband and I attended different churches and nothing felt right. My best friends mom passed away and we went to a church for her memorial service. I have never had such a strong feeling of being in the right place in my life. God had been "working on me" and then he drew me to that church. I believe I gained life through Sherry's death. Although she is not truly dead, just home. And dead to this world.

when i was a child i went to church with neighbors who had different religons than either my mom or dad they had strong ideas that were different from each other so i did not take sides.i have studied much as an adult and the only one that spoke to my heart with much study and prayer was and is the seventh day adventist.i do not agree with everything but almost all things i do.i just dont think its necessary to be a vegetarian to go to heaven it may be healthier or smarter but i dont think GOD will not allow me in heaven for eating a ham sandwich if i am living every other way in accordance to his will and my understanding of it.good luck.

I was raised as catholic... to believe in their teachings.... Im a good catholic back then... I even get chance to serve the church... but time comes that i feel no freedom.. i even feel that i only ought to believe on the church not the real God. Thats why I try to embrace to be atheist by myself.

Are you a car because you stand in a garage?
It is not due to you beliving in the teachings that make you a catholic. You need to determine what the truth is. That will only come with prayer.
