like if your planning on working in a pub or bar someplace in a tourist or resort type town what previous types of bartending jobs might be good to have as past employment to prepare ?

i would suggest applying in motels that have bars and hotels or resturant chains.

Bar Managers like to hire guys who have been barbacks, but as long as you have an outgoing personality and a brain, we will give you a chance. Just have a clean recors, a TAM card and a health card (for Vegas) and you may be on your way to being a bartender!
FYI Most casinos only hire barbacks, we like to pomote from within. If you start at a brand new establishment, you might have a better chance starting as a bartender.
