uh no Jehovah Witnesses adopted the name Jehovah Witness mainly they use God's name unlike most of Christian churches that have do not, mainly the King James Version has removed it why i don't know.
also as many prophets, warned people, like Noah, Jeremiah, and so on, they are witnesses as to the Judgment that God had brought on persons that refused to heed Gods warning.
see we all can learn something every day.

The JWs as they are known have beliefs that are mainly of creation and other things from the Bible. I believe that they don't celebrate the holidays because they're giving that part of themselves up because they put the name of Jehovah in the religion name. Occasionally they speak of the devil but this may be part of a plan of theirs to teach others what is truth. Yes, they also witness a door being shut in their faces.

Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”
(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Isaiah 43:10-13 “YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11Â I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”
12Â “I myself have told forth and have saved and have caused [it] to be heard, when there was among YOU no strange [god]. So YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God. 13Â Also, all the time I am the same One; and there is no one effecting deliverance out of my own hand. I shall get active, and who can turn it back?”

Jehovah's Witnesses witness about Jehovah's greatness, his truthfulness, his promises, his faithfulness, his mercy, his love, etc., etc., etc. They actually got their name by describing what they do in Bible terms. Isaiah 43:10

They are a powerful cult, with worldwide membership. They believe 100% that they are the one true religion. They believe the proper name for God is Jehovah. Since they believe they are the only one true religion on the planet, they named themselves "Jehovah's Witnesses" as though they are the only people speaking on behalf of the one true God.

They merely proclaim their own beliefs derived from the Watchtower Society, and not from the Bible. I know. I used to be one of them. They are a cult. They may be sincere people, but they do not have the truth like they profess to.
