it only cranks, but it just doesn't start? what could it be? by the way it does have gas lol

If it is an older jeep, mine is a CJ7 with 258 I6. It more than likely is the ignition module that sits on the drivers' side inner fender below the radiator overflow bottle. Mine got hot and died. You can take it off and look at the wax on the back side of the module. You can tell if it got hot and melted. The module is a silver looking box that has two plugs coming from it. This is something that people usually overlook. They are notorious for going bad in Jeeps and older Ford trucks.

Remove a spark plug look at it is it wet or dry dry a fuel problem wet an ignition problem.

Check battery then battery connection.

are your keys black or gray if they are gray than they are programmable keys and need to be programed in order to start vehicle
