I belive in God, but I have questions. How did we get here?
Is God made up? Please Help!

;) sorry, i had to, but on a more serious note: I definately believe in God with my whole heart. I believe that he created the universe out of nothing at all, and then created man in the same way (either by evolution or not.. i believe God could've used evolution in his creation process)
then he sent his son Jesus (true God and true man) ... (if this confuses you think about parents. they are one ruling force. you ask one parent, the other agrees with them (or usually this happens) but they are in fact two different people) to die on the cross for us as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. since he was not sinful, he should not have had to die, but chose it so we could live in heaven after our earthly deaths.
I hope this helps. Try reading the bible, and check out a few churches.

You specifically got here by way of your parents. They can be traced back to their parents, all the way back in time until you reach single cell organisms. Don't they teach this in american schools?
Read The God Delusion, understand what religion is and how it works, and be freed from it forever. (I'd add more details but you don't allow emails)
Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

God created the earth 6000 years ago. We know this because dinosaur footprints were actually found in the same spot as human footprints. Atheists & evolutionists will tell you this isn't true but it has been scientifically proven. When he saw that the world could not have free will and use it righteously, he sacrificed his only begotten son to forgive us our sins. Who else would do that? Think of God as a spirit, Creator of all creatures, large and small, of nature and good, giving free choice to his creations. Now look at what man has done with that. Once we all realize what God has given us in Jesus' name there will be no more wars and no more sadness.
Glory is His name.

We got here through evolution, the origin of the universe and the first cell is a little less clear. Religion actually started of as polytheistic, not monotheistic.

I personally believe that God is real. Only I don't believe in God the same way that religion portrays Him to be. God is forgiving.

before we recieved our mortal bodies that were provided by our earthly parents our souls or spirits lived with god and when we leave these eatthly bodies we will return toour spiritual forms and return to our polace in the kindom of the lord
