upbringing? Would you try to help this guy out or would you just stay away. You've known him for years from a distance and never known him to have a bad temper before but after a few months of dating it came out?

No definetly not. Do you think that when you are in a relationship then just one day out of the blue the guy hits you? No, it ALWAYS starts with verbal abuse first. Then the girl doesn't feel good enough about herself to leave. Please don't go back save yourself the heartache and pain. Go with soeone who says nice things and makes you feel good about yourself, instaed of someone who makes you feel bad.

I would say you'd need to base your decision on a couple of things...

1. Has he done this before? A past history of it may be a "red flag" to pay attention to before deciding.

2. Has anyone else you know heard of and/or been around him, seeing how he acts, and his particular situation? Finding out what you can as discretely and tactfully as possible may give "insight" you handn't had previously.

3. Tell him your concern... If he is truly wanting a dating relationship with you, he should be able to sit down and talk reasonably to work it out.

4. If he keeps it up, after you've repeatedly tried telling him you're concerned about it... I'd recommend stopping dating him, give yourself time to recover, and try again with someone else you are certain you can have a good relationship with.

no way would I even think about going out with him again...there is too much abuse of people, children and women especially now a days, and the men and or women get away with it by saying I had a bad day today, or I was raised in an abusing family. My step father sexually abused my sister and myself while we were growing up and it would have been a cold day in hell when I would have done that to my children or my grandchildren. Somewhere and someone somehow has to take a stand against people like that. They need to be made to realize that excuses for doing bad things to other people are like butt holes...everybody has one. DO NOT GO BACK OUT WITH HIM especially if you have any respect for yourself, sweetie.

To me it sounds like he is full of excuses, and yes when we start to date someone they are always on their best behavior, in my opinion the verbal abuse will turn into physical abuse at some point before it does I would tell him the two of you need to goto counseling and if he does not agree I would break up with him, some times that is what it takes to open their eyes and if he really cares about you he will come back and goto counseling to get the help he needs, always respect yourself not to put up with any kind of abuse it always starts out with verbal and I also think he is seeing what you will put up with and how far you will let him go

One word.........NO...
ok, maybe a few more..
ANY one , man or woman who verbally assaults another is not someone to be around.. there is no sign or indication that this person can be trusted with the most precious of life's treasures.. YOU.. Excuses are just that , false reasonings, and rationals ..
Please don't put yourself in a possible harms way..
You are worth more than that kind of individual in your life..
and too, while dating most people show their so called better side.. I'd hate to see how far he could go, if anything more of a relationship developed....!
Good luck to you...

guys will never show their true sides, he probaly was already like this but didn't show it to u so he wouldn't frighten u, now that he has u he feels it's ok, don't go back with him, no one deserves that type of abuse, there is always going to be different types of problems one confronts but that doesn't mean they have to take that stress out on you. Do u take ur anger out on him? "No" right? so then that's no excuse for him to do it. That's not a problem, he's just to immature to deal with things, he doesn't need help, he needs to grow up and stop blaming u for mistakes he's doing or problems he's facing in his life.

You Shouldn't go back because he will just say he had another stress full day and do it again. He is not a real man if he can do that to a woman. But if you really love him and trust him not to do it again then go for it and he does it again then u know it is not caused a stressful day. I hope you make the right decision

Sure! If you're hard up.

Honestly, though. Why would you want to. It sounds like he has some problems and it's not going away overnight. You can talk to him in an adult, mature manner and tell him you won't tolerate his abuse. He's starting out now with verbal abuse, what's it going to be after a few years? physical abuse? I would not waste time with this one honey. He needs counseling.

Umm, unless you can't do better no. This guy is at least acting like a pussy, quite frankly. Think when you have a bad day too and you come home and don't want to put up with his sh*t. Recipe for disaster.

If he seems MOODY STAY AWAY. He's drug/alcoholic bait, I've known people like that. *Hint* known.
