I have a brother who is a little slow. He loves to draw comics. For his birthday my mom is getting him a computer. I remember something about a software where you draw on the pad and it goes into the computer. Does anyone know what that is called and where I can purchase it? Also is there any good beginner animation programs?

Tell your mom to get your brother a tablet pc, so he can write right on the screen... they are awesome... goto www.gateway.com to shop for a great one... I have two.

about the things that you mean to draw on the pad and it will transfer to a computer, i know what you mean, and the name of the tools. But, gosh! I forget it right now! I'll find for you and I'll be posting it, when I was found it, sorry.

you can use SWiSH Max to begin a simple animation for beginner. check this out at : http://www.swishzone.com. And theres so many program that can make simple animation (using built-in effect), but I think SWiSH is the best.

You are talking about a "drawing tablet." It's hardware, not software. The biggest and best brand name for them is Wacom. But... they aren't easy to use. And animation, especially hand drawn, is a very difficult thing to do and is pretty frustrating. Good luck.

I don't remember the name of it at this time, but I do know what you are talking about. I know they sell it at Fry's Electronics. Don't know if there's one where you live.

hope this helps
