He's an inspiration to me, I know he's doesn't really exist and it's just a movie but he was a southpaw fighter (left handed) and so am I. Lol.
It's a great underdog movie and when I watch it, it inspires me to train harder and get in the ring to give it my all.
It also reminds me to believe in myself even when the odds are against me, especially when the odds are against me.

I have to admit, when I was in Philly last, I ran up those steps where the statue was just to say it did it, so Rocky Balboa must have ment more to me that I thought. Classic boxing movies and a timeless story line.

It means that even an actor like Sylvester Stallone can write a good movie. And then get his butt kicked and then win in the sequel, then get whipped by Mr. T (who pitties the fool) and then has his trainer die on him, but then comes back to beat Clubber Lang with Apollo's help, then Apollo "must get broken" by Ivan Drago, then Rocky freezes his butt of in Russia and then beats the Jose Canseco of Boxing but then gets brain damage, then trains Tommy "the machine" gunn and gets screwed by a Don King wanna be and then whips both of them in a street fight.........and the saga continues.

It means that us white people need a pretend champion to somehow feel better. We had that in Gerry Cooney, until Larry Holmes brought us back to reality.

An epic telling of one man's triumph over large flights of stairs and raw meat. Also, Paulie.
