I've had a really weird appetite for... oh, four days or so now. I go for hours without eating, then suddenly I'm ravenous and everything looks fantastic to me. I eat a plate or bowl, but I'm still hungry. So I eat some more. I may still be hungry, so I get a third plate, but only a few bites into it, I'm full and physically ill from being too full.

A recent development: a sore throat and unquenchable thirst. I've had ten glasses of water and tea today, but I'm still so very, very thirsty.

So my question is this: Am I just getting a virus of some sort or is this one of the first signs of pregnancy?

Thanks!

~~Naomi

Thirst is a sign of diabetes, and with your erratic appetite, it sounds as tho your blood sugar is on a rampage. See a doctor as soon as possible, it could save your life. Best wishes.

That kind of thirst is a sign of diabetes. Do you then go to sleep about an hour after eating?

Sounds much more like the signs of gestational diabetes( i had it when pregnant)..Go see your doctor immediately, not in a few days! It is extremely serious! Go now! Tell them you have the signs and you need to get in NOW!
i hope things turn out ok for you and your baby.....GO NOW!
