Cupcakes are sweeter generally and muffins are less sweet with more fat. Cupcakes are finer in texture, less crumbly, and are usually frosted or dusted with powdered sugar. Muffins are more like a fat biscuit and cupcakes are like cake because they are made from cake batter which is more runny than muffin batter which is barely stirred and is quite thick. They can both be quite tasty. Vote for cupcakes if you like dessert and muffins if you like biscuits. I love both.

OK well muffins are my choice personally, even thou on is thought of as a morning and the other is an evening but ... would u feed a kid a cupcake for breakfast... you can eat a muffin anythime

The only muffin I like, it the mix from Betty Crocker, it's fake blueberry muffin. They use dried up apples instead of muffins-I think. LOL! I don't like blueberries. But I have ton say, I like cupcakes better, because they have frosting. But I only like the ones with homemade frosting - the pre-made cupcakes from Safeway-BLEHH!

Tasty like with a lot of ingredients---a muffin.Tasty like sweet and messy---Cupcake.I prefer Cupcakes...mini Cakes.

I like muffins more....they are lighter... i dont feel as guilty after eating a muffin!!!
