Alcoholics have an allergy or chemical imbalance in their body so that when an alcoholic takes even one drink, the phenomenon of craving kicks in and they have no defense or control over alcohol and will continue to drink whether they want to or not. A drunk is just someone who has consumed too much alcohol for the evening, but will wake up the next day and not even think about taking another drink, at least for a while.

Winos seem to be the ones choking on vomit. Sad but true. Beer is much more pleasant. I also enjoy a little tequila and whiskey. I will take a glass of wine when offered but mostly use it for flavouring when Kahlua isn't available. Absolutely cannot stand rum at all. Gin is nice with ice and lemon.
Now some enjoy alcohol and others abuse it. I believe in moderation. Tried being a vegetarian for nearly two years off and on and ended up with low iron levels and colds all the time. Then I just had this urge for a roast beef sandwich and stopped in an Arby's. I hardly ever eat at Arby's. Only in the dead of winter do I eat junk food on a regular basis. Eating out is all there is to do. After that, I ate a double burger from Burger King. Just had to have some red meat.
