Plain flour will replace self rising flour but
you will need to add 1 1/4 tea spoon of baking powder and 1/4 tea spoon salt to each cup used. (This will basically

No. Self rising flour has a leaving agent in it. If you use plain flour, whatever you make won't rise.

For every cup of plain flour, add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt. That's all self-rising flour is. :)

No! BUT if you add bs or bp to plain flour it should work out
about 1 cup flour- 1 tsp bp or 1/2 bs

My mom was always a stickler for using Self-rising && it would always frustrate me because I thought I would **** up the recipe if I used regular all purpose flour. But the only difference in self-rising is that it substitues for any additional baking yeast ingredients, such as baking soda, salt, baking powder... etc. So you're fine if you just add in the other missing parts.

no. because if a recipe says self raising flour then u need to use it because the food will need to rise. plain flour wont work.

it will make a difference thats why you have recipes to follow the baking powder puts air in the flour to make it rise but the plain flour makes it the stodgyness doughnuts are try it but wont be the samr , u never know u might like then your way

I believe you mean , self-rising flour, and no, you cannot use regular flour unless you amend it with baking powder or a rising agent.
