Actually, you might want to research this a little more. Sallie Mae is not the best, but they pay a commission to the school whevever someone gets someone to sign on. There's some kind of kickback. I can't remember everything, but I do remember enough that I know I would never consolidate my loans through them.

I have Direct Loans and Sallie Mae. Both are great, but you are only eligible for DL if you had DL to begin with, so you'd probably fare best with SLM.

We have consolidated through Sallie Mae and found them to be pretty reasonable.
