i read that only doxycycline and zithromax can fight chlamydia but can amoxicillin fight it as well?

The bacteria is probably resistent to amoxicillin. There are different types of antibiotics that fight specific families of bacteria. It possibly could work but I wouldn't count on it.

NO. Only Doxycycline and Zithromax work on Chlamydia.

From the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases under the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services it states that health care providers may give amoxicillin to women that are pregnant. But it didn't state why.

No, many strains of chlamydia are resistant to amoxicilin.
some doctor may combine it with another antibiotic, such as Probenecid, but it may not always work..
