i'm 5'3. 97 lbs. Dont think in terms of bmi scale, to you do I sound average? Would I be heavy to pick up?

I weigh the same and I'm 5'10.
Your a bit skinny, but as long as your eating then you should be fine. =)

If you're seriously concerned with your weight without looking at your personality, then maybe you should reevaluate 'YOUR' personality. If a dude merely picks you up JUST based on looks, the only thing he wants to do is sleep with you (Which is okay if that's what you want). I've been with plenty of incredibly skinny chicks and have had badtimes, seeing how I'm not shy of telling a dumb chick to 'F-off and suck my cockass' without thinking a second thought...personality goes a long way! The media has portrayed the incredibly skinny chick to be the perfect women. The perfect women is one that is independant, strong of heart and character and in the end wouldn't need you (Us as men) if we left them in a heart beat, they could be down for abit and then press on with their lifes... of course personallity I love top heavy busty chicks, muahaha.

How do you feel....that is all that matters! You are less than a 100 pounds! If a guy cant pick you up I would be worried about his muscles.

I'd think you were extremely skinny, probably a size 0 at the most and very underweight for your age/height.

i would def say a little under average to average..im 5'6 and 105 pounds..and im under weight
but you should be no problem to pick up for most guys

no, you are not too heavy to pick up. unless you are seeing some bird chested punk!! just the right size in my opinion.
