Before Adam and Eve sinned by disobedience and pride, the world was a perfect place. God did not want a population of automatons, so He created mankind with free will. God will give everyone an opportunity to come to a saving knowledge of Him.
*This* is the cause of all death, disease and suffering. God - long ago - gave mankind the capability to solve all the problems we would encounter, including cold weather, hot weather, tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, famine, disease, floods, etc.; we instead continued to rebel against God.
The fact that mankind *did* continue to rebel and disobey, and continues to do so to this day, means that problems with these things shall continue until the promised second coming of Jesus. This second coming will happen after "the great falling away" and the rapture, or "catching away" of all who believe in God and are saved from eternal damnation.
When Christ returns to earth to set up His kingdom, then - and only then - will there be peace. When that happens, even the last enemy, death, shall be thrown into the fiery pits of Hell.

God put man in a perfect world and gave him dominion over it. Man disobeyed and has been harvesting the results of that disobedience ever since. Why this about the earth, why that about the earth, why why why? It's all hooey. The earth was perfect. Your disobedience continues to mess it up. Quit blaming God for your mistakes; start blaming yourself. Each human suffers because each human disobeys. Then there was Jesus, who suffered more than anyone, and He didn't disobey at all. Quit whining; start obeying.

Because in the beginning everything was perfect and there was no need to invent power lines to supply electricity to alleiate people from discomfort that they did not have.
