I have Powerpoint 2007 (It come with my Office Enterprise) I am making a report for my schooling. Powerpoint is new to me, so I'm still learning.

I want to have my background, but then when I click the button, A line of text that I have allocated comes on to the screen and stops in the middle. I want to know how I can do that, and so then I can just repeat the process so as to have it when i click the button, another parargrapgh of text will appear, and again, and again, till all my allocated paragraphs have come on. I will have it, so one paragraph comes on, I read it etc: And then click it again, and the next paragraph comes in, and so on, till it's finished.

This should'nt be too complicated, if you could help, that would be great!

Thanks, much appreciated
Joash

Joash,

You need to highlight the text that you want to show first in your paragraph or bullet point, then go to "custom animation" under the "slide show" tab on the very top of the menu bar on your screen.

A menu will then pop up on the right, then select "Add Effect." Select "Entrace" and choose "fly in." Repeat for each of your paragraphs, and you're all set! Good luck!

There are two methods I can think of.

1. Use an action button on your slide. The action button setting should be set to next slide and your slides should have no transition. Repeat the text for the first paragraph on the next slide and add an animation which will bring in the next paragraph automatically (Animations tab, custom animation, zoom in, after previous) Repeat this process for each paragraph.

2. Record a macro which will display each animation in order. Option 1 is probably preferable.
