PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME STUPID ANSWERS LIKE: "Ew, you should go bathe!" "Go get a hobby and bathe yourself!" "You're stupid, wtf?" "You're that flexible?"

I'm asking this because I, and a few of my friends have noticed that bellybuttons tend to have a strange smell to them.

I DO bathe. Daily. Stop being immature, considering most of you should be OLDER than I am.

Answer SERIOUSLY.

Not all belly buttons smell bad. If someone's belly button smells badly they most likely have poor personal hygiene practices. When you bathe or shower (this is assuming you hopefully do one or the other on a daily basis) get all sudsy and use your finger to soap up your navel. Just stick a soapy finger in there and swish it around a bit, rinse and VIOLA! no more smelly navel. If you are in the habit of sniffing people's navels and you come across a rank smelling one explain this technique to the person who obviously doesn't have the common sense to do this. If you have a particularly rancid navel and are attracting flies you could put a little rubbing alcohol in there after using the soapy shower technique. If it is so bad that you have green fumes coming from it and maggots wiggling around in there then PLEASE dial 911 and ask for a hazmat team right away. Hope this info helps, good luck with your, uh, "problem".

it can be: a million) urachal fistula, 2) omphalomesenteric remnants or 3) only an infection (yet infections many times harm). really, in the previous start we've arteries and veins that go the umbilicus wearing blood from the mummy to the toddler. they're assume to close in the course of the first days of existence. from time to time they failure to close and stay opened allowing textile to empty from the intestines or urinary gadget. also some bacterias could bypass from the exterior and reason infections. it isn't a extreme issue besides the indisputable fact that it ought to be treated. surgical treatment is the purely definitive thanks to administration.

Not only is the button open for bacteria and dirt to accumulate but they are hard to clean. They never dry out properly and are full of bendy skin, which is rubbing as you move. The heat produced cooks the micro-organisms and the skin heats from friction.

Because they are closed in and sometimes water gets in there after showering or sweating and it sits there, which makes it smell, Just make sure u clean it when taking a shower and make sure u dry it really good, also alcohol and a q tip will help as well, but still make sure u clean and dry it.... i hope this helps :-)

Because hardly anyone ever washes theirs out everyday. The most neglected hole on the body. Poor belly button. =(

Bellybuttons smell bad? I don't know, can't get my nose that far down to sniff mine. I didn't know they smelled bad.

Honestly, I've never come across a bad smelling belly button. They have, however, all belonged to females.

Most likely because sweat and dirt get trapped there - a q-tip dipped in alcohol will clean it

I have never noticed any belly buttons smelling bad?
Does yours? If so you might need to get that checked by a Dr.

Because they're enclosed areas where all kinds of nasty things can get trapped. People should clean their belly buttons.
