There are Body Scrubs made for Body Acne (pimples)
Try Neutrogena. And yes you can use face product for your back because the Face is more sensitive. But stuff for the back may not neccesarly be okay for the Face.

I like St. Ives Appricot Scrub for acne (also in sensitive skin)

The Estee Lauder deep pore cleansing mask works great.
I have ocassional back pimples from working out & I use this stuff on the few pimples once every 2 weeks.

Try to use a thin layer of deep cleansing mask for the back after a warm bath when pores are opened to fight the breakout.

You cousin should feel comfortable in her skin (cliche, I know). Having said that, this "backne" is probably making her feel uncomfortable. I think that a few weekly facial masks will work on her back. Also, if she wears a bra, she might check that she is wearing 100% cotton bras and 100% cotton shirts. This will help her back skin stay drier than with synthetic materials. A great treatment that she can have done is an infrared sauna. Most spas have this service now, and your cousin does not even have to tell anyone about the pimples. She'll hopefully reserve a small sauna all on her own so that she can feel comfortable enough to bare her backskin for about a half hour. This will purge the skin of impurities and after about a month of weekly saunas and clay masks, she should have beautiful and glowing skin!

Anyplace you have skin you can get a zit, it's a fact of life. And yes, any over the counter treatment for acne of the face will work on the back. It's not unusual for people to break out on their back, especially during the winter when we wear more and thicker clothing. It traps the sweat against the skin and cuts down on the breathing of the skin. Tell your cousin to treat her back just like she would her face. Don't pick at them. Wear cotton fabric against the skin to wick away the moisture, and avoid tight clothing and synthetics. Try to get sunlight on the bare back whenever she can, sunlight helps dry skin and encourage healing. Tea tree oil, tiny drop on the offending spots, at night, works well to prevent and heal as well. If it really gets bad, a visit to the doctor is in order. But it's not weird, unusual, or anything to be embarassed about treating. You don't see much of it, cause most people have their backs covered most of the time. But it is more common than you realize. I know, because I'm a nurse, and I do get to see it.

The best thing that she can do is go to see a dermatologist. Because the medicines she uses on her face do not work as well for her back. She could try Neutrogena body wash, but it's unlikely that if she has lots of acne that that would help. A dermatologist is a professional and would not embarrassing to talk to about acne, and they can prescribe a good medicine to get rid of it, like Retin-A Micro and other medicines that you can't get without a prescription.

Yeah, it's called "backne"...lol A lot of teenagers have this problem, it's no big deal. If you can go through high school without ever being self conscious about some horrible zit somewhere than you're one lucky dog. Tell your cousin (hehehe...) to scrub her back with soap and water every day. That's the only thing she can do to reduce the problem without getting treatment.

Yes, the back is an area we cannot get to for washing, so zits may pop up. Treat the same as the face. Meanwhile she needs to invest in a backscruber.

Yes. She could also try nutrogena acne body scrub. My husband has the same problem and this has really cleared up the acne on his back. Just use it every time you take a shower.

There is also a pill that is available from a dermo. that will help clear up acne on places other then the skin. This is obviously the more expensive option.

Yes you can treat them with the same medication. Most topical solutions either over the counter or by perscription will make her acne worse before they make it better. Yuck, not an option for me. There is a product that works great. It is calles Acnezine. It treats acne from the inside out by calming the free radicals in your body. I added a link. Check it out.

It's completely normal. I know a lot of people with that problem. Any kind of creams such as a benzoyl peroxide should help it dry up and go away as well as washes. It's probably not neccessary to go to a dermatologist but if she is really worried about it and it doesnt go away with any of the other stuff it might be a good option
