anything debt that has not be acknowledged in seven years will be erased, what will happen the creditor may offer you a deal to pay it off right before the seven year mark, if you acknowledge the debt in any way, you are stuck with it for the next seven years

It depends, what age and also type of delinquincy.
If one is a teenager it may be erased soon after one is
an adult. If an adult, it will all depend upon the type/kind of
delinquency. A serious one may never get erased.

I wish I knew what you meant by delinquency. Was it a late payment? Lots of times you can make those go away just by writing a letter that disputes it.
