I stand in line on the island of the Statue of Liberty. My mother bought me a flag to wave and a cotton candy. I see a bald eagle on the shirt for sale at the counter. I am free, as long as I accessorize.

blah, blah, blah, simple - fill in the blank with what comes to mind - and then get some sleep. It IS a school night!

Whatever you decide to write, make sure it's as hateful of America as possible. Apparently that will boost up the controversy property of the poem and make it a hit.
Saying "America sucks" is for some reason more popular today than saying "America rules". Where did we go wrong? <:S

These are symbols, they don't represent freedom, they're just meaningful to us.
A free country is one that recognizes the basic needs of human beings and allows them to pursue satisfying them in the manner of their choosing.
