a cold sore is indeed a form of herpes but is simply a virus and treatable - very common - you are okay

Nope. Everyone gets cold sores at one time or another. Chill out.
If you're that wigged out, just don't kiss him. You won't catch it unless you have an open sore on your lip.

Cold sores are very common. You wont catch it if you dont come into contact with it.
