It actually couldn't mean anything. It's natural for people to idolize others. Though why Brad Pitt, it beats me. This has been true through pre-Hellenistic Greece and during the Renaissance, expressed through numerous arts. To us an idol may be like a fictional character, except that when you really meet him/her you will inevitably find things to be not quite the way you imagined. This is the beauty behind martyrs like, 2pac. Talking about those people you may catch people off guard, maybe they are joking... after all it IS potentially.
