Christian base their beliefs on faith, and a personal relationship.
atheist base their beliefs on logic, and science.
neither is going to be convinced by the argument.
it is like children playing rock, scissors, paper. each has their point.
there are intelligent, educated Christian.
there are intelligent, educated Atheist.
and I have seen misconceptions on both sides.
neither side will ever win, because neither side will be able to convince the other.
the only proof a Christians needs is a relationship with God.
and until the Atheist has a relationship with God, they will never be convinced.

You raised a lot of good points but we need love because God is love. I was a seeker and a searcher for God and when I found the Lord everything made sense. Everyone matures at a different rate and every one is all a different level. There is no need to compare ourselves to others because we are all different like colors of the rainbow each color is separate but when all colors put together it represents beauty and harmony all the colors blend.

It's a shame nobody reads philosophy. Those guys pegged it with logic for 3000 years encompassing both West and East taking place under all major religions and independent belief systems, not to mention they are the only type of people you can actually call "wise."
Good job atheists, way to ignore the facts.
Good job Christians, way to think Jesus was the only "good" guy out there.

I hope the discussion never ends because, although it may seem as if neither side will convince the other, no word of truth about God is ever wasted. We must go on planting seeds and leaving the watering to Him.
Here's a quote from Thomas Aquinas:
"To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible."

You can only hope that the debate will die, but that will never be the case, as these people thrive on conflict! Everyone is convinced they are right, and they feel obligated to prove it to others that they are, wether their proof is enough for their opponents or not. Or...wishful thinking dude, it's not going to happen. Besides, I get a kick out of seeing them try to outdo each other fruitlessly.

Your too logical for people to understand.
They enjoy the bashing to much to stop.
The "Is not" "Is to" is about as far as humanity has grown, in the past 2000+ years.
Kinda sad I know, but what else can you expect from children - some day humanity will take a step and grow - I just won't be alive when humanity does, sad to say.

Most atheist don't care what Christians think we just don't want their beliefs in our face. Atheists have accepted to live life with logic whereas Christians or (BornAgain Christians...the ones that go back to church after they get caught screwing up) need something to tell them it was okay for them to mess up.....most christians are hypocrites, the world would be a lot better if the people who claim to be Christians actually did something like take all the money the church has aquiered and evenly distribute to 3rd world countries to end povertry...not a chance Religion+Ignorance+Guilt=Money

As a Christian I would agree.
We can sow seeds but if they fall on hard ground they will not take root. It is in God's hands after they have heard.
Conversely, the Atheist can sow seeds of doubt but If they do not take root in the Christian's heart..then it is in ....well nobody's hands.

*sigh* You weren't even subtle. How can you be taken seriously if in one sentence you call for peace and the next you spew your personal belief? You were doing so well up until your last paragraph. If you actually wanted the debate stopped you wouldn't have fuelled the fire.
