I have tried to take a foto and enlarge with a good camera and lighting however, the quality was fair. Most of the oils are poster size at least. A format camera was suggested, is this my only option? I'm looking for maximum quality.thankyou

You can send it to a giclee printer and have the work professionally scanned and printed on canvas. I highly recommend Staples Fine Art Printing (not Staples Office Supply). Thy do excellent work and coat their giclee canvases with a very superior protective coating. I completely submerged a 4X6 sample under water and scrubbed the surface to verify it could handle the accidental exposure to water that could occur. I have become a bit zealous on the subject of waterproofing when my $368 worth of giclees (4 gallery wrapped sturdy stretcher giclees) from another company couldn't handle the amount of moisture from a sneeze without damage. Life happens and art should survive it.

Have a good photo taken and get a giclee print made.

Some services will take the photo and make the print.

Giclee prints are considered the most durable digital prints available, using inks that don't fade as fast as most others.
