You should probably think in terms of pounds, not cups. One pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. This means that you need to have a net loss of 3500 calories in order to lose one pound. You can achieve this by using up 3500 more calories than you eat.

For example, to lose one pound in one week, on each day of that week, you need to use up/burn 500 calories more than you eat (500 calories x 7 days = 3500 calories = one pound lost).

What you should do is figure out how many calories you burn each day just doing normal activity, based on your weight and other factors. This is called your resting metabolic rate. Go here to estimate this number: http://www.24hourfitness.com/html/fitness/fit_calc/rest/

Now add to that the number of calories you burn doing any additional exercise. If you go to the gym and the treadmill estimates that you burned 500 calories walking, for instance, you would add that 500 to your resting metabolic rate.

Now you know how many calories you burn each day, approximately. Now you just need to keep the number of calories you take in everyday under that number. The lower your calorie intake relative to what you burn, the faster you will lose weight.

If you keep the number of calories you take in everyday at least 500 calories below what you use up, you should lose approximately one pound per week.

If you want to lose, say, 5 pounds, you will need to keep that up for five weeks.

Well you have to be realistic here, you have to start by eating healthy, veggies, fruits instead of chips and no fast food, you have to start eating healthy, meat, potato, veggies, and don't over eat. Drink alot of water. You need to do more than crunches and cardio, you need to exercise all the muscles, abs, butt, thighs exc, and you need to warm up.

Remember in gym class? You did jumping jacks, squat thrusts, situps and push ups? Those are good to warm up with 20 minutes with 5 minutes of each. How about walking, aerobics, crunches and weights, cardio, and yoga, you have to vary your routine to get good results and if you want to tone up your stomach you might as well tone the rest too so you look great.

I'm disabled now but used to be a dancer. I used to do 4-5 hours a day workouts. Probably the easiest is gonna be ankle weights for walking, hand weights for aerobics or cardio. Crunches are really good but you have to warm up or you could hurt your neck or back with them. 30-60 minutes a day is an excellent workout. At that rate of exercise every day it would take 3-5 months, with the extra workouts of walking, aerobics, weight lifting, even bicycling or swimming, vary your routine and you will see faster results, plus you need to drink a ton of water, water flushes and cleans the body. With a varied routine and 1 hour a day exercise you will see results in 2-3 months.

Loooooong time if U R not serious. ... If u r serious, get into a routine. Start the day at 5 am. Exercise for about 2 hours. Starting off from 30 minutes and extending it to 2 hours. Include into yr program specific exercises for the stomach muscles. Have a light breakfast. Medium lunch. Light dinner. Drink lots of water. Avoid snax and oily stuff.
Now I guess you will be fit in about 45 days.

6 weeks if you eat healthy and work your butt off (I lost 4 sizes in 6 weeks). And don't do much more than 30 min's of cardio, it burns muscle. You will also lose lbs in other places too, not just your tummy. Eat healthy (no salt, no sugar) and drink water the whole time and you will lose much much faster.

About an hour with liposuction. It will not come back for a long time if you exercize and eat sensibly. I had this done a year ago and it hasn't returned. It doesn't cost a whole lot and is worth every penny!!!

You keep your fat in cups? Is that where you keep it. I don't have enough cabinet space. Thats probably why I can't loose weight. Crap!
