If you feel behind you ear, just above your jaw bone, you will feel a bony ridge on either side of your head. That bony ridge protects a bunch of nerves, and a punch landing on the point of the chin drives the jaw bone into that bunch of nerves, causing temporary paralysis, disorientation and loss of co-ordination that usally lasts between ten to fifteen seconds (a knockout). It's a bunch of nerves, not just one, but you heard correctly.

You have two major arteries that run down the front of your neck...from behind your ears. They carry the blood from the heart to your brain. Most of the time that a punch is delivered...the body involuntarily flinches to brace for the impact of the punch. Knockout punches occur when the head is jarred enough to cause a sudden, short cease of blood to the brain. Hence the buzzing feeling when waking up.

Its similar to the sleeper hold. In actuality, the sleeper hold is not a choke. The two lever points of the sleeper (the arm that wraps around the neck) are actually on the sides of the neck and not the esophogas.

Have someone stand behind you..jam their thumbs into the sides of your neck...and wait..it only takes about three seconds before you begin to black out. Same concept.

Chin knockout is a good trick to faint somebody. It is a attack that was discovered in 8th century by Arabs. This attack was usually done in battles if they have lost their sword to defend themselves from others.

Chin is the most delicate part of the body next to ears and nose.It has no bones and the flesh is very soft. One a hit the flesh hits with the bone of the skull, which causes a severe damage of cells and a lot of pain that no one could tolerate. It is done just by hitting the chin by touching our palms to our nose invertedly.
