First of all I have never seen the show. I didn't even know there was one until after I researched the career. (hear it was good though) I am thinking going into either police or the military which would be better to get into both of these, and which would land me in the FBI? Is NCIS easier to get into than the FBI, and if so could it help me. My father is ex navy that's why I thought of it.

You have to meet the basic requirements of the FBI. Among these, you need a BA. The truth is, the FBI rarely hires you unless you are a lawyer or have a degree in Accounting.

Assuming you have a degree, any Federal Law Enforcement experience (NCIS, AFOSI, CID, ICE, ATF, etc.) will help in the FBI, largely because a background check has been conducted. Good luck!

You're going to need a degree to get into either investigative agency. FBI usually wants law or accounting degrees, since they deal mostly with white collar crime and are very involved in following paper trails.
Both the Army and the Air Force also have investigative agencies, the Army is the largest. Most investigators are officers and you need a degree to be an officer.

If your goal is the FBI, focus your efforts on that, don't waste valuable time doing this, and doing that. Find out what you need to do to get there , and do it .
