with 8......I dont know what her reaction will be.....Shes told me that shes only had sex once and that was with her ex who she was with for 3 yrs...... if you ask me, i dont think it is....

It depends on preference. Personally I've been through enough in relationships to know that any lie is never good. I would tell her the truth. Depending on how long you have been together, she'll either be upset initially that you lied but eventually grateful and impressed you told the truth, or she'll be immature and react outraged that you didn't tell her in the first place.
You have to ask yourself what you'd want from her. Would it bother you if she told you she's had sex with 2 people when it's really been 8? And does it factor in how important it is to you that each partner or your girlfriend has been tested?
It's a personal preference...but keep in mind that no lie is a good lie and it will somehow or another come back to haunt you.

She only had sex once? If you have had sex with her then I think she might be lying to make you value the fact she is having sex with you. But then again I don't know the girl and she could be honest. I think you should have been honest to begin with. Telling her now will start problems and for what? Just to clear your subconcious? If you get caught then it should be a lesson learned but if you don't you are lucky you got away with trying to play the "good guy" act.

I think you compounded it with a lie. Personally, I wouldn't really care how many were before as long as there weren't any now. What's done is done and if she cares about you , it won't matter how many girls you were with before. Just sit her down, and tell her the truth. Tell her you were afraid of her reaction, but realize now you should have told her and assure her that she is the only one for you now.

I think that if your practicing safe sex, you are well within your right to keep that private if you wish. We're not talking about having sex with 50 hookers right.
Our significant others don't need to know everything that we've done in our previous life. Especially if they don't have direct impact on the relationship.
What matters is what you do, and how you treat her, after you've committed to a relationship.

Would you rather possibly hurt her by having sex with 8 people or would you rather actually hurt her by lying and on top of that you had sex with 8 people? But my policy is still if she will NEVER have the possibility of finding out who's really hurting there

Once someone finds out you lied to them, they will never trust you again, with good cause. If you didnt want to tell her the truth you should have told her just that, but never lie if you expect to have a lifelong relationship with her. What good is a lie?

Tell her the truth. Because most likely she'll lie to you to because she'll feel insecure and all. Remember, a lie is a lie and it'll always come to nail you in the back sooner or later.
