Not knowing how your phones are wired, specifically, it's difficult to provide a definitive answer. In the USA, the residential standard is a cable consisting of 4 color-coded wires. There is a green, red, yellow and black. Green and red are usually used and should be connected "color for color" together, meaning greens connected to greens and reds connected to reds. No matter what part of the world you are in, that would be good advice to keep the like colors together. If it is too bulky to attach to the wallplate connectors, use some extra wire to pig-tail from the wire grouping to wallplate. If in doubt, connect all like colored wires in groups and put rubber or electrical tape on them to prevent accidental shorting out of the cconnections.
